Frequently asked
Is LinkDuel free?
Yes. Every mode is free. Play Bronze and Silver without an account. You need a free account for the Ladder from Gold, Season and challenging specific players to duels. In Practice, you can try Gold and Platinum once each without an account; Master requires an account.
Do I need to download an app?
No. LinkDuel runs in your browser, on your phone and on desktop. If you like, add it to your home screen.
How does a puzzle work?
You start at 1 and draw one unbroken line to 2, 3, 4 and on. Along the way you visit every cell exactly once. Walls, arrows and portals join in higher leagues.
How do I move up a league?
Every solved puzzle earns XP. With enough XP you unlock the next league, from Bronze (4×4) to Master (10×10).
What is the Arena?
A ranked or friendly 1v1 duel on the same puzzle. If you both solve it, the higher score wins. Equal scores are decided by the faster time; equal times mean a draw. You can also accept up to three duels a day through open invitation links without an account.
How does a season work?
A season runs Monday to Sunday. There are ranked slots every day and your points go onto the weekly ladder. It settles Sunday 23:59 UTC, and the best players earn titles like Champion, Elite or Vanguard.
